One of the greatest things I’m able to do with The Happy Glamper is lift up Women In Business! May is the perfect month to celebrate Moms In Business, and we had three SUPERPOWER companies included in our box, all founded by Moms.

I was looking for a sticker on Etsy to signify my new love for Kale last year, and came upon Moonlight Makers and their magical designs. Immediately, I knew I wanted more of them. Nicole and Claire started Moonlight Makers in 2015 with three kids and few kickass designs between them. They bought a short school bus (which is part of their logo and the very first thing that drew me to them) and started working events. Today, they’ve grown to a storefront in Asheville, featured in over 400 stores nationwide, six kids and 160+ designs between them! I think their “Hello? Is it Tea You’re Looking For?” mug makes the perfect quirky statement in our May Box.

I needed the perfect tea to go along with the perfect mug. In comes a fellow sub box owner who pointed me in Jessie Dean’s direction, and I can tell you, it was love at first sip. In 2015, Asheville Tea Company’s founder, Jessie,(West Asheville mom and keen traveler) began her mission to combine her love of a good cuppa with her passion for the area’s unique ingredients. They partner with 12 local and regional farms across the Carolinas and Southeast for most of their ingredients for their small batch teas and tisanes. The Asheville Earl Grey is featured in May’s Box, and I hope you savor this twist on an Earl Grey as much as I do!

Birdie Candle Company was founded in 2018 by Meredith (aka Birdie). She honors many of her favorite NC landmarks with the ever-growing Carolina collection. I fell in love with the Holiday collection that was displayed at a local boutique and called Meredith to see if we could work together. Her Peace, Love & Asheville Candle is one of my favorites, and I hope you love it too! Expect to smell her hand-poured soy candles in future Happy Glamper boxes!
